Footstone
This monument, also referred to as "grassmarker" or "flush marker", is a rectangular granite monument, which is set into the ground so that it is level with the ground. The standard size for this monument is 2 ft. by 1 ft.
Raised Footstone
This monument, also referred to as a "bevel" is the same size as the footstone but is raised off the ground. The back of the monument will usually be set a couple of inches higher than the front, giving it a slight slant when viewed. Usual size is about 8 to 10 inches above ground level.
