This monument, which is traditionally erected for a single gravesite, consists of two parts: The base, which is parallel to the ground, and the upright portion, also referred to as the "die", is a tablet attached to the base, which contains the inscription and other information. The size can vary between 2 1/2 to 5 feet high.
